Tips & Techniques

Quick Quotes Scrapbook Company designed fast-drying chalking inks to be used on any size project. The large surface area of the pad allows for quick, complete coverage of almost any surface. For those hard to reach places, the tails are designed to fit into any light corner You can use the Powder Puff Chalking Inks on canvas, vellum, cardstock, chipboard, and many other craft projects.

Holding the ink pad:

PowderPuff Chalking Inks can be applied directly to project, you do not need any special applicator Just put your thumb in the curve and hold onto the back of the ink pad. Use very light smooth strokes, you can always add more if needed.

Use on Cansas

  • Holding pad in hand use very light, smooth, horizontal strokes. You can always add more color if too light
  • For rich, attractive color, avoid "scrubbing" motion on all projects
  • Chalk edges darker and center of canvas lighter
  • Allow the texture of the canvas to show through the chalking ink
  • To mix colors, start with lightest and work to the darker color
  • Allow to dry

Use on Vellum, Chipboard, and Cardstock

  • Hold pad at an angle and use light smooth strokes on the edges
  • For a worn look, tear edges before chalking and add ink by holding pad at an angle
  • Ink entire piece of vellum, chipboard, or just odges

Use on Die Cuts and Laser Cuts

Hold chipboard os paper with a gentle bend to reach hard to chalk areas

• Lay piece to be chalked onto scrap paper and rub ink pad lightly over entire surface for an even all over look

IMPORTANT: If the ink pad is brand new it may take longer to dry. To avoid this, blot inkpad a few times on scratch paper. Chalking ink shelf life
